The curve….

I don’t grade on a curve, but the fish do….
We see a very consistent learning curve here.
On the flat part of the curve, maybe, a whole season with no fish.
(Sure there were some grabs….)
As the curve slightly turns up, you get a little feller or two….
Next, a few dinks 12+, and a perhaps a big grab. (Not a chance though…..)
Following that, a solid fish or two. Then a huge grab, and another miss.
After a while, an 18-20″ fish is played, “almost to hand”.
About then, all the practice starts to pay off. (If you hung in there…)
You land your fish of dreams, at least 22-24″ of frothing fighting Rainbow..Slab-o-rama!
Then, the next fish hooked, will completely reset the “fish of dreams” setting.
Going way bigger than anything you’ve ever had on…….or maybe even want to….
On the Truckee, we work our way up from a fish…. to a fish we may never get near a big net.
I wouldn’t have it any other way….
So don’t be too hard on yourself here, we all have to deal…….
