Signs……

People sometimes give me a funny look when I mention keeping an eye out for signs….
A good example of a sign, happened yesterday.
I went out to the truck, to go fishing.
Opened the door, and a grass hopper flew out.
There are many out and about.
It’s a good time to fish’em.
Find a bush overhanging the water, and that’s casting a bit of shade.
Then, down-stream drift your offering.
Get ready……

Seeing fish moving around more everyday.
This is the time of year to take off work, and go fishing.
You can fish all day with good results.
Change tactics with the passing hours.
Streamer a dawn…..
Dry flies mid morning.
And, Indy fishing during the heat of the day.
During a windy afternoon, fish that hopper.
Then after it starts to cool off in the evening, go back to dries (PMDs, Caddis, and Mahogany’s too..).
After sundown, swing a streamer again.
What’s not to like?

Great sleeping temps right now.
Evenings are beautiful, lots of stars to count.
Coyotes are crooning, Owls are hooting, and Tree frogs are burrrrping.
I wish it would stay like this all the time.
Warm enough to still wet wade, cool enough that you won’t melt if wearing waders.
Load up the car and come fish.
I have some openings in my schedule….
