Fall fishin’

Sorry to be so lax in my posting.
I’ve been out recharging my batteries.
Since few fishermen are on the water, thought I’d walk/fish a bit.
Never ceases to amaze me, just when it’s getting good, my phone stops ringing.
Oh well….

We will get a little weather the next couple of days…
A little drizzle, a couple of random flakes….
Nothing big looming.
So…I think I’ll get out some more.

The water temps have dropped to around 49-50.
Clear/low flows near town.
Patchy hatches, of BWOs (mostly Juju baetis), Mahogany browns, and Midges (All small….)
Fish all stages of these, and especially the spinner stage.
The Winter menu is almost in place.
Mid morning-noon is good, and a nice window in the PM.
There are some hoppers around still, amazingly…
Not seeing crays, think they’ve started digging into the mud for winter.
Little yellow sally nymphs are in the seine too.
A worm might be good, maybe serve’em Ham and eggs….
Time to delight in the remaining colors, warm fishing temps….and some hot fish!
I’ll try and catch one for ya…..
