Summer…

It has started…
You can always tell when it begins, because we break in the shade.
And, you may think your waders are leaking, from all the moisture inside them.
Take some water with you….
Actually the temps have come up enough to wet wade.
60+ deg.
Flows are still nice near town, but very clear…..
Some sneak is warranted.
Early and late is best.
High noon can be tough. (Nuclear blue sky).
Fish shade…..
Fish deep……
Fish the bubbles…….
No real blizzard of bugs, just a dribble of them mid-morning, then again evening.
Green Drakes have started…..
Some Caddis, a few PMDs, a Golden stone maybe…
Little yellow Sallies have started popping.
Little yellow Grass-hoppers are starting to fly, afternoon wind causes accidental water landings…
Large Sierra blue Hoppers are flying.
Crays are molting.
Nice time to be out.
