Weather….

Going to be a little cloudy/smokey/rainy….
Get some time in, fish always like atmospherics.
Water temps are holding around 62 at dawn, and around 6-8 degrees warmer near dusk.
Truckee is flowing well…with the recreational release from Tahoe.
Green/clear and 350 cfs near town.
Feeder creeks are pretty much dry.
Things will get grim when the lake flows stop.
Fish now….
Bugs are thin….
A few PMDs, a few Caddis, the random large Golden stone…
Hoppers are everywhere, in the afternoon.
Small window early, and a smaller one at night.
You can fish all day, but you feel the extra effort needed.
Fishing pressure is diminishing.
The fish are very smart by this time of year.
Raise your game, and the fish are there.
Saw an Otter yesterday, keep your eyes peeled for critters.
