Saw a flock of Flickers this morning. Yes, a flock o’ flickers….(Woodpecker family.)
Not usual since they are solitary or paired…..until it’s time to head south.
Pretty sure they will leave this week.
No hard freeze yet, but the puddles are freezing over-night.
A dusting of snow up high, yesterday.
Gone this morning…..
We have a lot of color on the hillsides.
Leaves are falling……

Fishing is good, and there is plenty of water to fish.
Our tourists have gone mostly…
Locals are busy preparing for Winter.
So, that means it’s time for a rally fish.

Flows are lower, clear/green, 52 deg.
Many Baetis sz20.
Some Caddis sz18.
The Oct. Caddis seem to be about over.
If it warms enough, the Hoppers will still hop, mid-afternoon.
The menu is getting smaller……
Hope you enjoy the last of our warm time.
It will be six months till we wear a T-shirt to fish.
