Winter…..

We got a foot of snow, so I’m making the call…….
Very chilly at nights, the water and drinks inside of my ice chest froze……                        Days are sweet.
Roads are a little nasty today, drive slowly……..                                                                      Flows are clear and 40 deg.                                                                                                                    Some risers eating dries.                                                                                                                 Mostly small bugs, Baetis, Midges, and Little Winter stones.                                                  The conditions are suited to fishing, but you need to dress for success/excess..                       I suggest two pair of socks, wind proof hat, and fingerless (or fingered) gloves.                       Make sure your waders are the non-leaking type……                                                             Bring back-up clothes in case the river plays a trick.                                                              Studs are pretty good call. Maybe a wading staff too…                                                                     As I always say, “They can’t leave the Water, or totally quit  eating…”                                  Next week should give us a several nice days.                                                                                Be safe, have fun.

Jim
