Warming trend…..

The temperature swing this week was a classic.
From twenty below zero, to  forty above.                                                                                          It almost feels tropical today!                                                                                                                 Extensive shore ice formed during the last few days.                                                                       With this warm swing, the ice will “calve off” into the flows.                                               Trying a get a good drift, and not hang up on ice cakes floating past, can make fishing pretty frustrating now……This warming will clear things up in a day or so.                  Walking around is easy with only a little snow on the ground.                                              Blue skies and warm temps for a block of days coming up.                                                        The bugs right now are sz20 dark Baetis.                                                                                         A few sz18 BWO,                                                                                                                                       And, sz18 Little Winter stones.                                                                                                              Try and get out for a walk…..it’s so fine right now!
