More rain…

This is a wet storm, that is still at it three days in.                                                                          Tropical warm, with pelting big drops.                                                                                          The rain has melted all the snow under 6000 ft.                                                                       Bare ground in town.                                                                                                                             It’s reported up to 3+ feet of snow on the crest.                                                                          The Truckee river is a nasty brown torrent.
There are no casual crossing spots, pick a side and fish it.
In these conditions, you can fish about anything nymph wise…..                                          Annelids would be a good call…..                                                                                                      Water temp is a cold 34-35.                                                                                                                  Fish near shore in soft water, and little weight.                                                                          You can bump up a size or so on tippet, and work close too.                                                       No love on the swing yesterday, I think they have ice-cream headaches.
