Springish……

Really nice  day….High haze.The water is almost clear, slight green hue.45 deg.                 No snow on the ground around town, air temp 18-56.                                                          Alders are starting to bud, and some grass greening as well.                                              Seeing spiders, and ants out and about……                                                                                         This is a little early for Spring but all the critters are acting like it’s game on.                         The fish are feisty and colored-up.                                                                                           Skwallas should pop with the warm temps, watch for them in the foam lines or intercept the females on their march to water. They walk straight to the edge and step onto the meniscus and float away. The multi-year fish know this, so keep a sharp eye for gulpers.    If fishing store bought flies, maybe trim off the hackle underneath so they ride looooow.
Get after it, will be a long dry summer…..
