Warmish…

Snowed a trace last night, sounds like Spring this morning.
Water running and dripping off of everything.
Also heard a Flicker drumming (Tapping) on the house.
A Mountain Chickadee started singing his “Che-e-e-seburger” territorial song this morning……
Seems that by consensus, Spring has sprung!
Fishing is pretty good….The river will rise slightly today, and then fall to perfect levels.
Looks like mixed clouds, haze, and sun in patches. Perfect conditions for fishing
A wind breaker or shelled jacket is a good call.

The Bugs….
An infrequent Caddis emergence. Pupa or emerger.sz18.
Skwallas are out and about.
Mayflies- BWOs, and smaller Baetis. sz 18-20.
Aquatic annelids- smallish.
A Green Drake nymph would be ahead of the curve.
A little chilly for chases, but try a Skulpin on a slow swing……
Coming up on the best fishing of the season.
Hope you get some.
