The water….

It looks good out there.
Water temps went up on the upper river with increased surface release. Mid 60s.
Clear…..
The hatches are getting more complex…..
Green Drakes here and there…
Gray drakes too.
Solid PMD hatch.
Isonicia, and sz 20 white Canis May.
Several Caddis…Glosasoma, and Black Sedge.
Little Yellow Sallies are abundant.
A few larger stones about….
Grass hoppers hopping.
Lots of fry swimming around…………..
Fish are getting tougher, bring some game.
Light leaders, fast sets, and good fly choice.
Rafting has started in the canyon, Boca to Floriston, go early or late to avoid them.
Lower canyon still has bigger flows, wade carefully.
Summer has started, seek shade when not in the water.
