This time of year can get pretty hectic….
Lots of fishers wanting to learn/go fishing…..
Sorry for the lack of posts!
I have converted many dry fly guys to nymphing this year…..both straight line, and bobber styles.
More fish, fewer hassles…..
Little guys are more apt to rise to dries right now with warmer water temps.
Flows are perfect right now for getting a drift under bushes.
Big guys are hunkered down…….
Been fishing less weight, longer drifts to see more takes from these educated fish.
Some very large Golden stones are crawling around.
A few Lil yellow Sallies still out….
Midges are abundant…
A smattering of Caddis.
Crays may tempt them.
Overcast weather is best. If it’s thundering close, then stop.
The fish like the funky stuff…..
We’re enjoying a pelting rain going right now.
This is an evening you could fish…..
Haven’t been fishing afternoon and evening to give the fish a break…..
Bring your thermometer and use it…..find coolest water for best results.
Fish bubbles and fish deep.
Best nature sighting this week, was a Kestrel teasing it’s nearly grown offspring with a mouse…..
Multiple times it dropped it and caught it again….before handing it off.
Conserve water where you can…….
