Seems to be a cooling trend right now.
It could still get very hot, but right now the waters temps have dropped.
There was smoke on the water this morning…….Fall?
The river is 60-62 at dawn, which is fish-able.
Fishing will still slow mid-day, but mornings are fishy.
Guided yesterday, and did well with a mixed bag of bows and browns…..
Clients and I Watched a coyote hunting, a kingfisher fishing, and an osprey confirming spots on the river I should fish…………
Mostly Midges, a few Golden Stones, and a couple Caddis.
A good drift as always, and some sneak factor for lower clear flows.
Little guys rising to dries…..
For now, it’s game-on……
