Happy fish year….

The relaxed fisherman.... Howdy to everyone who follows! It was a tough year water wise, but we made do…..nothing is a given. But it was a good year for me as a mentor…..Locals who got their game-on are my favorite! The guy in the picture, Adam, caught a very nice fish sitting down. It took him two-drifts……… I’m still giving him grief for not doing it in one-drift…..but still, it wasn’t bad….. 20"+
The best part may be, that the fly was a new pattern for him to tie, and he only tied one….

Most folks figure the more water they cover the better….and I believe in covering water too…. But, I think what I teach best though, is a slower approach. Let’s just sit here and see what happens…….maybe a beverage as well…… We’ve repeated the two drift fish many times….. Gabe w/bow. Young Gabe with a two drift fish…..
This year for my clients and I, more one-drift fish is the goal. Hope you all achieve the goal you set for 2015……..
