Normal pt II……

A good example…….
October Caddis appear in October….everyone knows that….
Saw a few flyin’ this week. Saw some speckled Caddis as well.
Yes , in January…….
I don’t know if the bugs really care what time of year it is…..
as long as the conditions are right.
It is unseasonably warm and very dry…
Over the next few weeks “normal” would be off-colored high flows.
Not this year.
The snow pack will last till May….maybe….
After that you will need a water which-er to find some.
Mainly, it’s midges….
Bwo’s occasionally….
Skwallas should appear soon. Starting to see some nymphs…
Water is clear/low and falling…
Water temps are coming up daily…42-43 deg.
Yesterday I watched a stretch of river with a thin sheet of ice on top.
Over a period of thirty minutes, warmer water came down stream to melt it out.
All the critters are acting like it’s spring.
I suggest you consider a different fishing schedule this year…..
