Yesterday we found some rainbows on the spawn. Spent an hour just watching……
I know, sicko watching fish have sex…….
It was a group of us actually, all enthralled by a definite sign of Spring!
Afterwards a client did his first one-drift fish.
It was a short meeting…..
The adult Skwalla is hard for fish to resist when floated well.
So go work on your drift!
The conditions are back to perfect…..
Water is clear/green, and 43 deg.
Flows near town are lowish.
Down below town it’s bigger, but still a little off-color….
Skwallas are the “special”, Baetis are around, Midges go late in the day.
I have been catching fish using a variety of styles. Dry, bobber, straight-line, and streamer……
Seeing big rises to a big bugs, find one and catch him.
It’s just a good time to fish!!!!!
