I challenged my buddy to one-drift a fish…..(it’s how we get better) it took four drifts for the brown, and four more for a nice bow….
Day two……..another Brown!
This is for those who think it has to be lower flows……..the T is at 1350cfs and beautiful. Flows are steady>>>>>>>
And a good hard freeze does wonders for clarity…….! Steelhead green!
It is cloudy and fishy today!
Fishing with friends is fun…but clients could be out, if winter wasn’t outside their “normal” program……….
Always question normal…………….
I’ve been mentioning this since the river went year-round…..If you know how to fish, the fish can’t leave the river.
We have a great time up here, on a great river in mid winter or spring……what were you doing today?
This is big fish time!!!!! A friend had a major Bow on for a few………6-7 lbs of bad attitude…….5 sec. elapsed time.
Warm today, near 50 deg.so Skwallas may show….
Canyon is below 1800 cfs and dropping now….
The Skwallas have been on for two+ weeks….and it’s their second appearance, you may have missed it……there are a few still around…..
probably won’t be any dry fishing….that was last week/month……I posted it!
Flows will be big till the pack melts….
Pray for cold nights and high cloudy days so the pack will last. (No hoping for warm days, bring a coat!…)
