The melt is almost over…..

Flows have peaked for the season I think, steady at 1400cfs right now. Coming down a little everyday. We may still get a rise in flows, but only for a day as storms effect us. Mostly it is game on for those who don’t need to wait for lower flows……
The color is a very good Steely green with vis to 4 ft. Weather this week is cloudy and fishy, every day I go out with blue skies, I find the fish less active, and a little spooky. THAT’S why I fish while the water is up, and the sky is gray.
Bugs are March Brown Mayflies, some Glossisoma Caddis, and Midges of course…..
Nymphing is probably the best bet….
Pat’s rubber legs, M Brown nymphs, subsurface and/ or a sculpin on the swing.
Water is still too big to wade….bring a long handled net.
This week is good weather for fishing!
