Snowing….

Looking like winter more and more…but mostly it’s coming in small amounts. 3″ from all night, and less than two feet on the flats in town. Rain yesterday melted some we had, and it caused a small spike in flows of 40cfs. Snow showers mostly, just little crystals, not the fat flakes we need for a big snow pack. The tourists have accepted the offering in startlingly large numbers. The town is just shy of gridlock. If you come up, be prepared for anything. All it takes is one car or truck to close the road. Or if too icy, they close the pass. Always carry everything you need to spend the night on the road. Warm stuff, food and water, shovel and a tow strap, and a full tank of gas in case. If you want to fish, it will be very quiet out on the water. Just you and the fish mostly.
