wow….

A big change overnight….the river went from 555cfs to 2000cfs in a blink. Water color goes from green to tan green over the day. Four days ago the Skwallas went to high gear at times during mid-day, I counted one bug a minute floating by. I’m sure they are still after it, but there is three times as much water. Fish close to shore….but not too close! Baetis, March Browns, and Skwallas are on the menu. Saw the first PMD yesterday. Wading is not encouraged. Fish a big stick. Just because the water is big, doesn’t mean the fish won’t eat a dry….but delivering the offering at their eye level, is probably the best call. Add some ABs split shot for better results.
