Warm/dry/breezy……

Things are really nice right now.
T-shirt weather at dawn….
The grasses are turning golden.
Mornings have very little smoke effect.
Seems worst in the afternoon.
Flows are nice with 62-63 deg early.
Temps come up slowly, until just before dark it’s 68 or so….
350 cfs in town, 470-500 cfs in mid-canyon.
Bug activity is low….
Except for HOPPERS!
They are everywhere!
Crays are around too….
Some Large Golden Stones are still about.
Many midges as well.
Streamers are a good call early.
Less fishing pressure each day it seems.
Wet wade for comfort, and action, in case you find a biggy.
The fish seem to know we can’t follow on shore…
So they will often go long…….
Without waders you can follow in the water, maybe….
Be kind to them if you hook up.
Put them in the bubbles until they fight to get away…..
Much longer resuscitation times later in the day.
I mostly fish mornings, when they are most energetic.
