We, as humans, want our regularity.
To us, planning/predictabilty is good, chaos bad.
Well let me burst your bubble.
It ain’t so……..nature doesn’t run by a clock.
Today, I found an October Caddis in it’s case, happily pupating….
It is the earliest in 40 years I’ve watched it going on.
They take about 3 weeks to do their thing, so aim for the middle of Sept. for the hatch this year.
Fishing is “challenging” with the 68 deg. water.
Go at dawn. 62 deg then…..
I know it’s in-convenient, but do want to catch fish or not?
Once again, most folks just want a fish….not work for it.
They want planters, they want risers, they want big ones too.
I say, fish when, and how it works….
Get some game.
Fewer bugs out…
Mostly midges….
A few Glossasoma Caddis.
Fewer Golden Stone shucks on rocks.
No PMDs today….
Crays are still molting…..but the fish are aware that we serve them…
Things are getting tough…
So get going.
They are in there!
