For the moment, I’m calling it.. SPRING has sprung!                                                            Almost no snow on ground near water.                                                                                       Most locals know about several years where we got huge dumps in March (18ft in ’82), so we are still hoping. Might get a bit of precipitation from this weeks storm. I’ll let you know…… The river is green/clear and temp has risen rapidly to 43. Flows still dropping….. The seine I did recently was stupendous. Basically all the food in the river in one net. 1. Skulpin. 3″ tan/rust 2. Golden stone nymph. sz 2-8 3. Little yellow sallie nymph. sz 16. 4. Skwalla nymph. sz-10 5. BWO nymph. sz 18 6. March Brown nymph. sz16. 7. Swimmer Baetis nymph. sz 18-20 8. Midges, midges, midges. Both a zebra midge sz 20, and Griffiths Gnat sz 20. 9. Free ranging Caddis. sz 18 10. San Juans……smallish. Went out shopping Skwallas, Beautiful day, but a little too cool for them. Gotta show the next warm stretch of days. Have them in your box……
